Welcome to Mike's Works and Words. We have these major components. Most cross reference each other:

• Travel bundles several of my travel writings.
• Writings lists almost all writings you will find on this site.
• Photography is a photo galery of some of my pictures. Many others are scattered throughout the writings
• Coins and coin clubs is the home of my writings on coins and the home pages of coin clubs hosted here.

Note: On 1 April 2008 I split Works and Words into two separate entities: Walking with Awareness, a site on walking and pilgrimage themes along with the schedules for the workshops and slide shows we give. Works and Words retains my writings, books, travel (other than pilgrimage), photography, and coin clubs.

Start our with looking at some of these places:

• Pilgrimage to Rome, writings on our pilgrimage walk to Rome.
• Camino de Santiago, logs and reflections on my pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela across northern Spain.
• Sicily's Historic Coasts, a book about Sicily and its history.
• Ethiopia: Travels of a Youth, a travel narrative telling about Eritrea and northern Ethiopia during the time I was there in the late '60s and early '70s while in the US Army.
• Money Meanderings: An Introduction to Numismatics, a book introducing you to coin collecting.
• My current offerings on eBay. If you don't find any today, check again soon.
• Trains on Currency and Stock Certificates, a picture essey.

This web site offers you a little of all of this and more. It is literally my "Works and Words" scattered with a lot of photographs. Use the menu on the left of each page to take you to what you are looking for.

Visit my Where am I page if you are curious where we are these days. We are easing up a bit on our wandering phase and can be found in central California just now. But... we could also be just about anywhere on this tiny sphere we call the earth.

I have not received any requests for those services in a significant time so I have removed them from this site.
