Welcome to Mike's Works and Words. We have these major components. Most cross reference each other:

• Photography is a photo galery of some of my pictures. Many others are scattered throughout the writings
• Coins and coin clubs is the home of my writings on coins and the home pages of coin clubs hosted here.

NEW: We had a Metras Family Reunion 17 September 2012 on the occasion of what would have been my dad's 100th Birthday had he not died at 71-1/2 back in 1983. Anyway my brother, Marty, worked hard at getting it together and making it happen. You can see my Reunion Pictures at this link.

• Ethiopia: Travels of a Youth, a travel narrative telling about Eritrea and northern Ethiopia during the time I was there in the late '60s and early '70s while in the US Army.
• Money Meanderings: An Introduction to Numismatics, a book introducing you to coin collecting.

This web site offers you a little of all of this and more. It is literally my "Works and Words" scattered with a lot of photographs. Use the menu on the left of each page to take you to what you are looking for.

Visit my Where am I page if you are curious where we are these days. We are easing up a bit on our wandering phase and can be found in central California just now. But... we could also be just about anywhere on this tiny sphere we call the earth.

I have not received any requests for those services in a significant time so I have removed them from this site.
